What’s In My Shower?

shower.jpg

Obviously, I share a shower with three other people so I couldn’t just take out all of their stuff and take photos of just mine in there. Plus I’ve been on cleaning-bathroom-strike so it’s not as pretty as I’d like it to be. So I present pictures of the products that I use in the shower (without any actual pictures of them in my shower).

face

FACE: Thanks to my aesthetician’s ongoing care of my eyebrows and face, my skin usually looks pretty good. To keep it that way I use SkinMedica’s Purifying Foam Wash and Garnier Clean +’s Blackhead Eliminating Scrub in tandem. The foam wash seriously satisfies my inner child because it’s like squirting bubbles into your hand. They apply to the skin easily and leave a fresh scent and are easy to wash off. The scrub is a new thing I’ve been trying thanks to my sister—who actually uses it for blackheads—and so far I’m enjoying it a lot. There’s this great scent to such a small portion of the product and my skin feels amazing after using it. Using these products along with my other skincare items helps to keep my face clear of blemishes, dark spots, and overall looking young and beautiful.

hair

HAIR: Until recently I was using Herbal Essences’ Hello Hydration line, but my hair has become so long and thick that I was using handfuls of the product without the results I wanted (and a lot of painful tangles!). So, after doing some research, I decided to try OGX’s line of shampoos and conditioners. Luckily my local ULTA was doing a buy one get one half off deal and The Captain and I both agreed that the Heavenly Hydration Cherry Blossom Shampoo and Conditioner were for me. After a few weeks using them I can safely say that I adore this product. It smells amazing (I’m big on smells obviously), and I don’t have to use as much to get the results that I want. Instead of weighing down my hair, I come out of the shower feeling light and clean. While my hair is still a bit too thick for this product, I can say that the smaller amount of wax is a huge difference. I will, however, shortly be adding a shower comb to my collection.

body

BODY: As with a lot of women, I’ve been using Skintimate’s line of shaving cream practically since I learned to shave. Raspberry Rain is my favorite of the line, again because of smell, but all of their other scents are pleasant too. I do think that the canister can be a little over zealous in giving me just a little bit to use, but the results are always great. I prefer to use Bic’s Soleil line of razors over any others because my skin does have a tendency to nick when I’m shaving. I love the variety of colors that they come in (currently using yellow for spring fever), even if the price is annoying. Since I need to shave every other day these two products get a lot of use and they stand up to it. I’ve been using Bath & Body Work’s French Lavender & Honey Shower Gel pretty much since the day it came out in stores. Lavender is one of The Captain’s favorite scents so I try to use it in at least one of my daily products, just because. This stuff smells spectacular and it lathers up really well. Along with the other Lavender & Honey products I have, this leaves me with a good-smelling and clean feeling. The loofa is new and from Cleanlogic; it was inexpensive and so far it works great.

So that’s what’s in my shower; what about you? What kind of products or lines do you use daily? Any recommendations?
